• Handle multiple concurrent patient complaints, concerns and issues
• Administer medications within the scope of RN practice.
• Assist physician with invasive/non-invasive procedures performed in the department.
• Acquire and maintain current knowledge of equipment and procedures for emergent patients.
• Provide direction and supervision to LPNs, POCTs and other staff
• Perform crisis intervention.
• Monitor and ensure timely completion of physician orders.
• Perform defibrillation, cardioversion, external pacing.
• Assist to improve ED throughput and reduce length of stay.
• Perform other duties as requested.
