Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ED - Emergency Department in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. The position is a staff role with an evening shift from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, with alternate weekends as scheduled.

The RN will deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED, assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, and collaborate with the nursing team to ensure safe, effective care and timely interventions.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Graduate of State Certified Program or 1 year clinical experience as a nursing student/foreign graduate nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• OHS Fit Test
• OHS Annual Assessment

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility for patients of all ages.
• Maintain hygiene and grooming, including bathing and grooming.
• Safely transfer and ambulate patients; assist with devices and immobilization as needed.
• Support infection control and safe environment practices.
• Accurately document in patient records and report changes to RN.
• Transport patients and supplies within the unit and to other departments.
