Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO is seeking an Emergency Department RN to provide professional nursing care for patients of all ages in the initial phase of acute illness or trauma. You will triage, prioritize based on need, and collaborate with a fast-moving care team.

The role requires Missouri RN licensure, BLS, and ongoing certifications; strong communication, leadership and multitasking are essential in this busy ED.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care during initial phase of acute illness or trauma for patients of all ages.
• Triage and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs; manage patient flow in the ED.
• Stabilize patients, initiate treatment, and arrange for discharge or transfer for longer hospital stay.
