Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. You will collaborate with medical providers to implement the care plan and advocate for patients and families, ensuring safe and effective outcomes.

Responsibilities include pain assessment and management, timely documentation, prompt response to patient needs, and patient education on conditions, treatments, and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current State of Florida RN license, or recognized compact licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• CPI certification is required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain and manage analgesia; reassess after interventions.
• Document care in the medical record promptly and accurately.
• Respond to patient requests and anticipate needs; provide proactive care.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, meds, and follow-up.
