Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Georgia is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (WKD PT Days), 7am–7pm. The role focuses on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a fast-paced ED.

A current RN license, BLS certification upon hire, and ED nursing experience are highly valued. This position emphasizes teamwork, patient-centered care, and adherence to safety standards within Wellstar Health System.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Georgia or a multi-state license with Georgia endorsement.
• BLS certification required at hire; ACLS, PALS and TNCC strongly preferred.
• Experience in emergency department nursing preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) with evidence-based care.
• Delivers patient-centered care that respects age, gender, disease, culture, and individual needs.
• Partners with patients and families using bedside report, interdisciplinary rounds, and timely education.
• Maintains documentation and follows current clinical practice standards and hospital policies.
• Contributes to performance improvement and promotes safe, high-quality patient care.
