Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a growing Care Team. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care, coordinate care, and support discharge planning and education. The role reports to the unit’s Nurse Manager and emphasizes collaboration, advocacy, and professional growth.

The position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements include MA RN license, BLS (ACLS for some units), and 1–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience preferred.
• License Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• American Heart Association – Basic Life support Certificate required. ACLS required for some specific clinical units.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments. Responsible for assessing the health care needs of patients for the formulation of a care plan, its implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinates the care of patients and directs assistive personnel to provide safe, effective and patient-centered care.
• Works in a collaborative relationship with other health professionals to determine healthcare needs of patients and families, and acts as a patient advocate.
• Education is planned according to care plan and predicted Length of Stay; educates patients and families about discharge and community services.
• Maintains annual mandatory education requirements and participates in quality improvement activities.
• Demonstrates commitment to patients and colleagues; pursues educational opportunities for professional growth and license renewal.

Education
