Northwell Health is seeking a registered nurse for full-time night shifts in New York. The role requires completing an age-specific plan of care using the nursing process, coordinating with physicians, and directing the patient care unit team.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementing and evaluating outcomes, and patient/family education. A BSN is preferred, with licensure in NY and current BCLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• BCLS, ACLS, required. PALS within 6 months of hire date.
• 1 year med/surg experience, required.
• Emergency Department experience, preferred.
• BSN degree preferred; must enroll in an accredited program within 24 months of employment and obtain BSN within five years.

Responsabilités

• Assesses patient’s physiologic health status and documents findings.
• Assesses patient’s psychosocial health status and coping mechanisms.
• Identifies patient outcomes and establishes individualized goals.
• Formulates plan of care and prioritizes steps to achieve outcomes.
• Implements and monitors the plan of care, ensuring safety and efficacy.
• Evaluates care and outcomes, documenting results.
• Collaborates with physicians and care team; delegates appropriately.
• Performs pressure injury care and skin assessments.
• Administers medications safely and educates patients about drugs.
• Participates in patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Performs related duties as required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Current NYS RN license

BSN within five years if hired after 2018-01-01
