Job summary

LifeBridge Health's Carroll Hospital in Westminster, Maryland is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach to support patients in the Emergency Department, focusing on recovery from alcohol and/or drug use and helping with referrals and linkage to treatment and recovery services.

The role requires active personal recovery with at least three years of sobriety, BLS and CPR certifications, and exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities to engage diverse patients and partner

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma/GED and less than 1 year of experience.
Active engagement in personal recovery with at least 3 years sobriety is required.
CPR AHA Healthcare Provider certification is required; peer recovery certification not required at hire but must be obtained within 18 months.

Responsibilities

Provide non-clinical peer support to patients in the Emergency Department.
Assist in completing referrals to treatment services and develop plans for linkage to recovery support services.
Submit and maintain documentation; coordinate with partner agencies and ED team.
