Qualifications

• Active recovery from alcohol or drugs with 3+ years of demonstrated abstinence.
• Peer Recovery Specialist certification not required at hire but must be obtained within 18 months.
• CPR/AHA Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support within the Emergency Department to encourage treatment engagement.
• Assist in referrals to treatment services and develop linkage plans for recovery.
• Coordinate follow-up and ongoing support to promote successful recovery outcomes.
