Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for the Emergency Department on the evening shift (7-on/7-off), generally 12:30 PM–11:00 PM, with every other weekend and holiday rotation per the two-week pay period. You will apply clinical expertise to ensure optimal medication therapy, participate in codes, and develop system guidelines and educational material for ED patients and staff.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited program.
• Eligible for Georgia licensure prior to start date.
• BLS required within 90 days; ACLS within 6 months if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical expert in ED pharmacy and optimize therapy.
• Develop and promote evidence-based clinical practices and nomograms.
• Collaborate under protocols/collaborative practice agreements to improve care.
• Ensure safe, effective, and cost-conscious medication use.
• Provide patient-centered pharmaceutical care and education.
• Lead staff education and precept students and residents.
• Participate in codes and transitions of care for ED patients.
• Document interventions and participate in quality improvement.
