Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking compassionate and motivated Patient Care Techs to join our Emergency Department team. Under the supervision of an RN or LPN, you will provide direct patient care and support services to help patients achieve their highest level of wellness.

Night shifts (7pm-7am) are available, with rotating weekends and holidays. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and is suitable for nursing, pre-med, or healthcare students seeking to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in a healthcare career program.
• No healthcare experience required; CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility needs.
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient information in the EMR.
• Provide direct patient care and support in the Emergency Department.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
