Qualifications

• High school graduate or its equivalent preferred.
• Entry level credentialing of secretarial and nursing assistant skills.
• Current Rhode Island registration as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide care to Brown University Health patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care as part of the Emergency Department team.
• Collaborates with the Registered Nurse to set priorities and organize work.
• Administers direct physical care and assists with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Monitors IV flow and reports any issues to the RN.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and advocates for patients.
• Follows hospital policies and safety procedures and infection control measures.
