Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current Rhode Island registration as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care in the Emergency Department, including urgent, psychiatric and observation pods.
• Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to prioritize tasks and organize workflow.
• Administer direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Monitor IV flow, perform basic assessments, and assist with procedures such as EKGs.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges and maintain accurate charting and documentation.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and safety standards and accompany patients as needed.
