Job summary

OhioHealth in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support Registered Nurses in delivering direct patient care on the Med Surg Unit 1.

You will help with activities of daily living, maintain patient environments, and assist with basic nursing tasks while prioritizing safety and compassionate communication with patients and families.

Day shift, 36 hours per week, opportunities for growth and teamwork in a high-reliability organization focused on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• 16- and 17-year-old individuals without a high school diploma or GED will be considered only if they have a valid work permit.
• 18-year-old individuals enrolled in high school do not need a high school diploma/GED/work permit to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, grooming, eating) and assists with basic patient care.
• Maintains environmental cleanliness and safety of patient rooms, unit and equipment; supports patient experience.
• Assists in collecting data (vital signs, height, weight) and uses portable devices for documentation.
