Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Emergency Department. The role supports licensed staff by assisting with basic patient care, vitals, and daily living activities in a Level I trauma center.

The position requires strong communication, basic medical knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Onsite schedule includes 3x12-hour day shifts and rotating holidays/weekends at 267 Charles Street.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights, scores and outputs with accuracy.
• Completes documentation in the medical record.
• Interacts with patients and families effectively.
• Assists with daily living activities including bathing, dressing and eating.
