Qualifications

• Medical terminology preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients professionally and follow triage guidelines.
• Register patients in the Emergency Department and verify demographic/payer information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect payments per policy.
• Refer patients to the Patient Financial Counselors as appropriate.
• Adhere to EMTALA guidelines and hospital policies during registration.
