Job summary

Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, FL, seeks an Emergency Department Paramedic to deliver advanced patient care in a high-volume ED. You will work under physician oversight, perform trauma and medical interventions, and ensure rapid, safe patient assessment and transport when needed.

Applicants must have completed a Paramedic program, hold Florida PMD licensure, and maintain BLS/Healthcare provider and ACLS certifications; PALS within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a Paramedic program.
• Current Florida Paramedic (PMD) licensure, renewed every 2 years.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• Maintains ACLS certification.
• Must obtain PALS certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers emergency department patient care using advanced paramedic skills as directed by Nursing Operations.
• Complies with Florida paramedic practice scope and hospital protocols.
• Collaborates with physicians and ED team to ensure patient safety and timely care.
• Maintains patient safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to policies.
• Assists with equipment readiness and regulatory/compliance requirements.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific patient needs and growth/development considerations.
