Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Paramedic for the Emergency Department on a part-time, evening schedule in Indiana. The role provides high-quality, patient-centered care across all ages under supervision of RNs and physicians.

Responsibilities include advanced life support, medication administration within scope, patient throughput, and collaboration with the care team. Prior ED or critical care transport experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Paramedic program is required.
• Associate degree in EMS or related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of EMT-P experience required.
• Experience in a hospital-based ED or critical care transport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced life support and clinical care in a fast-paced ED.
• Assist physicians and RNs with emergency procedures and resuscitation.
• Administer medications within protocol and document accurately.
• Maintain sterile technique and patient safety during procedures.
• Manage patient flow and assist with diagnostic imaging processes.
• Document all care in the EMR in a timely manner.
