Job summary

St. Francis–Emory Healthcare, a 376-bed hospital in Columbus, GA and part of ScionHealth, seeks a Manager – Emergency Services to lead the ED operations, drive patient care quality, and mentor staff across shifts.

You will collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to implement policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and advance performance improvement initiatives aligned with the hospital's mission.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• CEN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the Emergency Department, including staffing, workflows, and resource allocation.
• Develops departmental objectives and performance metrics; evaluates staff competency and supports continuing education.
• Ensures delivery of safe, timely, and evidence-based care to patients across the lifespan.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA).
• Participates in budgeting and cost management strategies.
• Leads nursing programs and quality initiatives.
• Fosters a culture of safety and teamwork.
