Job summary

Bluffton Regional Medical Center is seeking a Manager of the Emergency Department to oversee daily operations, nursing care delivery, and staff management. This role focuses on excellence in patient care, quality outcomes, and engagement, collaborating with leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and financial performance.

The position requires RN licensure and 2–4 years of leadership experience, with ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications commonly required and CEN/ENPC preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of related field experience.
• 2–4 years of leadership experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications commonly required; CEN/ENPC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the Emergency Department to ensure efficient patient flow and safe care.
• Supervises nursing and support staff; ensures compliance with standards and policies.
• Collaborates with Director and teams to meet quality, safety, and financial goals.
• Coordinates patient throughput and bed management with physicians and departments.
• Responds to emergencies and staffing issues with sound judgment.
• Performs other duties as assigned; maintains reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
