Job summary

Adventist Health Mendocino County is seeking an experienced nursing leader to manage a defined unit, ensuring safe, efficient patient care and staff development. You will supervise clinical staff, coordinate daily operations, and partner with physicians and administrators to achieve high satisfaction and outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure with a Bachelor’s in Nursing; Master’s degree and leadership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent combination required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Five years' technical experience preferred.
• One year's leadership experience preferred.
• Two years' acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds a high performing clinical work team with designated charge nurses and unit champions.
• Sets goals for patient safety, quality of care and regulatory compliance.
• Conducts daily rounds with physicians and health team members to coordinate care.
• Directs staff in patient care activities to ensure quality work and outcomes.
• Manages unit staffing, overtime, and monthly schedules.
• Facilitates throughput and coordinates admissions/transfers while maintaining safety.
