Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee patient care and nursing services on a designated unit and shift.

You will support daily operations, mentor staff, and serve as a clinical role model to ensure high-quality care and patient satisfaction. This role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing with 2+ years acute care experience and leadership potential; Master’s degree and leadership certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years acute care experience with demonstrated leadership and potential; leadership certification preferred within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care and nursing services on the assigned unit and shift.
• Lead daily operations of the unit and act as resource and clinical role model.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure effective unit operations and patient flow.
• Participate in hiring and evaluating staff; support Magnet and Shared Governance programs.
