Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Emergency Department on a 36-hour variable night schedule in Boston, MA. The RN must be a registered nurse in Massachusetts, with a BSN preferred for new graduates, and ACLS/BLS/TNCC certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, planning and evaluating care plans, medication administration, and active participation in unit-based quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license is required.
• 2+ years RN experience required.
• Emergency Department experience preferred.
• ACLS/BLS required.
• TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for assigned patients.
• Set priorities and manage care for patients with varying acuity.
• Communicate clearly with the care team and families.
• Administer medications according to policies and procedures.
• Document care accurately and participate in quality programs.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to meet patient needs.
• Develop and participate in discharge planning.
