Virtua Health in Mount Holly, NJ seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department on the 2nd shift (3p–1a). This leadership role supports the Nurse Director in coordinating clinical and business activities to deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care.

Qualifications

• 2 years recent clinical/cath lab experience required.
• Broad knowledge of nursing practice and ability to apply specific skills in nursing intervention.
• Competency in management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Nurse Director/Manager with overall department leadership responsibilities.
• Coach and counsel staff to maintain high performance standards, and provide input into performance evaluations.
• Maintain day-to-day operations including bed flow, patient rounding, chart checks, and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and cost-conscious decision making.
• Coordinate inventory, purchasing contracts, billing processes, and report generation as appropriate.
• Assist with managing staff levels by coordinating unit staffing for nursing care.
• Monitor quality metrics and lead performance improvement activities.
