Job summary

Virtua Voorhees is seeking an experienced nurse leader to support the unit leadership in delivering high‑quality patient care. You will coordinate clinical and business activities, promote accountability, and foster a climate for effective performance and cost efficiency.

Required: 2 years recent clinical experience; NJ RN license and BLS; BSN preferred. This is a full‑time, on‑site 3rd‑shift role with 40 hours weekly and 10‑hour shifts; annual salary range $98,700 to $158,398, with compensation

Qualifications

• 2 years recent clinical experience required (NICU / cath lab exposure mentioned).
• Broad knowledge of nursing practice and ability to apply skills in nursing intervention.
• Competency in management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists Nurse Director / Manager in overall manager/leadership responsibilities for assigned department.
• Assist with coaching and counseling employees to maintain high performance standards, and provides input into performance evaluations.
• Maintains day to day operations, including bed flow, patient rounding, collaboration with other departments, chart checks, and clinical support.
• Demonstrates and promotes fiscal responsibility.
• Assists with coordinating inventory consignment and purchasing contracts, billing process/issues and report generating when appropriate.
• Assists with managing staff levels by implementation and coordination of unit staffing for nursing care.
• Monitors quality metrics and facilitates performance improvement activities, by reviewing charts, and coaching staff appropriately.
