Job summary

Mount Sinai is seeking a Part Time Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department. The RN will provide clinical leadership in daily unit operations and oversee quality patient care delivery in coordination with the Nurse Manager.

The role requires a BSN and NY RN licensure, with 3 years of clinical nursing experience and supervisory exposure encouraged. ACLS/BLS certifications are expected, and hospital guidelines must be followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Masters in Nursing or health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice using Mount Sinai models to promote patient experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and model expected behaviors.
• Ensure integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance care.
• Supervise daily rounding and validate staff performance with feedback.
• Communicate patient experience data to the care team for action planning.
• Collaborate with physician dyads and escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Support service recovery for patient and family concerns.
• Demonstrate caring, respect, and empathy in interactions.
