The Nurse Manager will lead Hourly Care Checks, ensure staff competency, conduct daily patient rounding, and partner with physicians to improve quality, safety, and throughput while maintaining a patient-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• BSN is required; MSN or related field is preferred.
• 3–5 years of nursing clinical care with charge nurse/supervisory experience preferred.
• Current RN license in New York State.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CEN are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice using the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Hourly Care Checks and role model expected behaviors.
• Ensure integration of Hourly Care Checks into clinical activities.
• Assess staff competency and provide feedback on Hourly Care Checks.
• Conduct daily patient rounding and weekly staff rounding.
• Communicate patient experience and staff engagement information to the team.
• Collaborate with the physician dyad and elevate concerns as appropriate.
• Follow up on patient concerns and provide service recovery.
• Plan and lead a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered care environment.
• Monitor quality, safety, and throughput metrics for continuous improvement.
