Job summary

North Memorial Health is hiring a Casual Part Time Health Unit Coordinator for the Emergency Department. You will perform reception and clerical duties to maintain unit workflow for staff, physicians, patients, and families, while supporting patient safety and clear communication among caregivers.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and preferably completion of a Health Unit Coordinator or Medical Secretary program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Health Unit Coordinator or Medical Secretary program preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience as HUC, Medical Secretary, or related role in hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate an efficient customer care unit with prompt, accurate processing of information.
• Perform reception and clerical duties and maintain unit workflow for staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Support patient safety goals and effective communication among caregivers; respond to alarms by notifying staff.
