Job summary

NorthWest EMS is seeking a Unit Clerk for the Emergency Department. This role supports physicians, registered nurses and staff with clerical tasks, uses the computer system, and assists with indirect patient care.

Work hours include 40 hours per week with day, evening and night shifts, and rotating weekends and holidays in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate is a high school graduate, demonstrates accurate typing, and completes required clearances within 90 days of starting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Typing Skills.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic clerical and receptionist duties.
• Maintains a safe, clean, well-organized environment.
• Provides assistance to physicians, registered nurses and other staff as it relates to the computer system.
• Supports nursing by providing selected indirect patient care.
