Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN to provide critical care across ED and other acute areas in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The role emphasizes fast-paced, high-acuity environments with collaboration among physicians and trauma teams.

Required BSN, current RN license, and BLS; 1+ year RN experience. Eligible RNs may float across units with a 36-hour week and a 10% float differential. Benefits are included with full-time status.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; license transfer within 60 days.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
