Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, NC is seeking a Director for the Emergency Department to lead our ED team and ensure high-quality patient care.

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director will oversee staffing, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and process improvements while building relationships with physicians and staff. This role requires ED leadership experience and nursing qualifications (BSN/MSN). The hospital is DN V accredited and serves the community since 1950.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required.
• CEN certification a plus.
• ACHE a plus.
• At least two years of leadership experience.
• At least five years of hospital emergency department experience.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, laws and ED regulations.
• Experience preparing and monitoring annual budgets.
• Computer experience: Word, Excel, Outlook, Meditech.

Responsabilités

• Develop relationships with employees, leadership and physicians.
• Ensure ED staff have skills and competencies for patient assignments.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, federal and DNV regs.
• Oversee ED department budget, expenses, revenue and productivity reports.
• Lead ED process improvements and organizational initiatives.
• Lead Press Ganey initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with EMS, Mental Health and community agencies.
• Manage hospital ambulance services.
• Handle staffing, scheduling and patient care assignment practices per regulations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures.
