Job summary

CHI Health Lakeside is seeking a dedicated Critical Care Technician (CCT) to join our fast-paced Emergency Department. This full-time role combines direct patient care with vital monitoring and administrative duties to support RNs and the healthcare team in a high-acuity setting.

The CCT will ensure efficient workflows, respond to patient needs, and help achieve exceptional patient outcomes. Must meet CNA and BLS requirements and be eligible for Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age.
• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Active on the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: Perform and assist with ADLs, basic nursing care (vital signs, specimen collection), patient transport, and comfort measures under RN direction.
• Critical Monitoring: Operate the central monitoring station, admit/discharge patients, assign arrhythmia monitoring, adjust alarm limits as directed, validate alarms, and print/post recordings.
• Administrative & Clerical Support: Transcribe and enter physician orders, schedule appointments/tests, and manage medication deliveries; maintain organized patient charts.
• Unit Readiness: Clean and maintain equipment and restock supply areas to ensure operational readiness.
