Job summary

CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL is seeking a Full-Time CNA for the Emergency Department. The role involves providing basic nursing care under supervision, handling unit clerical tasks, and assisting with ADLs to support patient comfort and safety.

Required are a High School Diploma or equivalent and an active CNA certification on the IL Health Care Worker Registry, with BLS within 30 days. Prior acute care experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth within a dynamic ED team.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CNA certification; must be active on the IL Health Care Worker Registry.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general clerical duties for the department as assigned.
• Provides basic nursing care to patients under supervision.
• Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) and comfort needs.
• Answers call lights promptly and maintains patient environment.
• Maintains patient charts and coordinates with health care team.
