Job summary

CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care under RN/LPN supervision and perform general clerical duties for the department. You will help with ADLs, hygiene, and patient comfort while communicating effectively with the health care team.

Responsibilities include chart assembly, maintaining clean patient areas, and assisting with transfers, transports, and supplies.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CNA certification required.
• Must be active as a CNA on the IL Health Care Worker Registry.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire.
• Strong operational knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with health care team, patients, and visitors using oral and written means.
• Assists with ADLs and patient hygiene.
• Maintains patient records and unit supplies.
• Provides safe, clean environment at the nursing station.
• Ensures prompt response to patient call lights and needs.
