Job summary

CGH Medical Center is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a part-time position in Sterling, IL. Shifts run 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with every third weekend coverage.

The role involves basic nursing care and clerical support under RN/LPN supervision, coordinating with the health care team to ensure patient comfort and safety. Qualified candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent, a current IL CNA certification, and CPR/BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification required and active on IL Health Care Worker Registry.
• BLS (CPR) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) under supervision.
• Provide basic nursing care and comfort measures to patients.
• Transcribe and process patient charts and maintain accurate records.
• Answer call lights promptly and communicate with health care team.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized nursing station and environment.
