Job summary

Ascension's Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks a patient care technician to join the Emergency Department. The role involves assisting with patient movement, ADLs, and maintaining cleanliness and equipment, while documenting care and reporting changes to nursing staff.

Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent and BLS certification within 30 days. A one-year healthcare experience is preferred; ongoing training and tuition support are offered.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Document necessary records.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
