Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Unit Services Tech for the Emergency Department in Jamaica Plain, MA. The role provides care support including EKG, phlebotomy, equipment cleaning, stocking rooms, and patient transport under supervision of a licensed nurse.

You will perform secretarial duties, answer calls, and help admit patients. Education: high school diploma; BLS and CNA/EMT credentials are required or HR-appropriate. Work hours include a rotating schedule with on-site shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or HR-supported.
• BLS certification required; CNA or EMT credentials or HR-recognized equivalent may be required.
• ED experience preferred; ICU/OPIC, IV therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe environment through proper body mechanics and adherence to restraint policies.
• Perform secretarial duties: answer calls, route messages, and manage patient records.
• Transport patients and specimens, including emergency transport when needed.
• Perform EKGs and phlebotomy under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with cleaning/restocking of medical equipment and stocking of rooms.
