Care New England Health System in Rhode Island is seeking an Emergency Department Clinical Social Worker to provide behavioral health services in the ED, including triage, assessment, intervention, and discharge planning as part of the interdisciplinary team.

Formación

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field.
• Licensure preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health required.
• Experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• The ED Social Worker conducts emergency clinical assessments and communicates findings to the attending physician.
• Maintains all required documentation following departmental procedures.
• Provides psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and brief counseling for ED patients.
• Coordinates referrals and facilities; reports safety concerns as needed.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and offers feedback on patient care.
• Assesses appropriate level of care and disposition planning based on available resources.
• Facilitates discharge planning with knowledge of resources, costs, and service types.
• Adheres to hospital policies including risk management and infection control.
• Maintains licensure (where applicable) and pursues ongoing professional development.
• Participates in supervision with Clinical Supervisor in scheduled sessions.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
