Requires a Masters in Social Work and preferred licensure, with experience in behavioral health and hospital settings highly valued. Responsibilities include urgent assessments, brief counseling, and coordination of care and referrals for safe dispositions.
The Emergency Department Clinical Social Worker is responsible for the provision of behavioral health services including triage, assessment, intervention, and discharge planning for patients with behavioral health needs in the Emergency Department. The Clinical Social Worker functions as a member of the interdisciplinary care team providing behavioral health and social work expertise.
A Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field. Licensure preferred. Experience in behavioral health required. Experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred.
