Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department night shift to lead clinical practice and patient care delivery. You will drive quality, safety, and staff development while collaborating with the ED leadership team.

The role requires a BSN, CA RN license, 3+ years ED nursing, 1+ year leadership, ACLS/PALS/BLS, and EMR experience; bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing in Emergency Services; at least one (1) year of leadership.
Current California Nursing license.
Bilingual Spanish preferred.
ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications required.
Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates teamwork and high quality patient care; resolves interdepartmental issues promptly.
Participates in hospital committees and staff meetings; distributes minutes.
Implements Quality and Performance Improvement plans and reports findings.
Leads staff development, competency assessment, and education.
Coordinates scheduling in Clairvia and ensures adequate coverage.
Ensures compliance with ESI scales and staffing decisions.
Counsels staff and conducts evaluations; maintains documentation.
Supports organizational mission and MLKCH values.
Interacts with care management for discharge planning.
