Job summary

MaineHealth Emergency Department – MMC Biddeford is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Assistant for night shift (2 x 12-hour shifts). The role supports RNs and ED physicians with patient care and helps maintain smooth patient flow from admission to discharge.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; current BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days); healthcare experience or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Summary:

The Emergency Department Assistant – MMC BID SAN role is responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse and/or Emergency Department physician/advanced practice practitioner carrying out supportive patient care activities, providing for an efficient flow of administrative, secretarial, and clerical tasks from the patient\'s admission through discharge or inpatient admission.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: Healthcare experience or knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

The pay range for this position is $20.27 to $24.36 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
