Job summary

UW Medical Center-Montlake in Seattle seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to cover Fast-Track and high-acuity ED patients. You will collaborate with attendings, residents, pharmacists, and nurses to deliver timely care.

The role requires WA ARNP/PA credentials, board certification, and ED experience with procedures like laceration repair and abscess drainage. Evening shifts are offered in a dynamic, teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Board-certified; ARNP certified by ANCC or AAPP; PA certified by NCCAP ED Fellowship trained or equivalent ED/Urgent Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat acute and minor illnesses and injuries presenting to the ED.
• Serve as backup for Campus Health for employees with blood‑borne exposures or job‑related injury.
• Function independently in our vertical care area.
• Minor procedures including but not limited to laceration repair, incision and drainage of abscesses, splint applications, etc.
• Proficient assessment of emergent/urgent complaints to determine complexity and stability of patients.
• Functioning as a member of a multi‑disciplinary health care team within the Emergency Department.
• Close collaboration with academic Emergency Medicine attending physicians to provide excellent care to a complex patient population at our tertiary referral center.
