  • Function independently in our vertical care area.
  • Minor procedures including but not limited to laceration repair, incision and drainage of abscesses, splint applications, etc.
  • Proficient assessment of emergent/urgent complaints to determine complexity and stability of patients.
  • Functioning as a member of a multi‑disciplinary health care team within the Emergency Department.
  • Close collaboration with academic Emergency Medicine attending physicians to provide excellent care to a complex patient population at our tertiary referral center.

Our Emergency Department at UW Medical Center-Montlake has an opportunity for anAdvanced Practice Provider to see patients in the Fast-Track stream of care as well as exposing them to high acuity challenging patients. The ED Advanced Practice Provider is a member of the inter‑professional team that includes attending physicians, residents, pharmacists, medical and pharmacy students and registered nurses.

DESCRIPTION
  • Evaluate and treat acute and minor illnesses and injuries presenting to the ED.

SCHEDULE

30 hrs./ week Evening shift

REQUIREMENTS
  • Current and unencumbered license as an Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)ORPhysician Assistants (PA) in the state of Washington
  • ARNP must have a WA state RN license to practice or MSL
  • Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing (ARNP) or a accredited program for Physician Assistant studies (PA)
  • Must be board certified; ARNP certified by ANCC or AAPP; PA certified from NCCAP ED Fellowship trained or equivalent ED/Urgent Care experience.
  • PA candidates: Emergency Medicine CAQ BLS,ACLS and PALS certification.

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
  • Pay Range Minimum: $138,720.00 annual
  • Pay Range Maximum: $210,684.00 annual
  • Other Compensation: Inpatient premium 5%
  • Evening Shift differential $3.00/hr
  • Weekend $4.00/hr
