Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a patient-facing registration specialist to support front desk operations in Boulder, CO. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and ensure accurate data entry in real-time.

The role requires onsite work in a fast-paced clinical setting, with per diem availability including overnights and weekends. Prior experience with Epic EMR and MS Office is preferred, along with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
1+ years of customer service in a hospital/office/customer service or phone support role.
Ability to work onsite at 4747 Arapahoe Ave, Boulder CO. 80303 in an emergency department setting.
Ability to work on a Per Diem basis including overnight and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients, answer phones, collect co-pays and payments.
Enter and verify patient data in real-time using computer systems.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; provide price estimates as needed.
Communicate with patients and families with compassion and clarity.
Assist with data collection and reporting related to patient care processes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of registration requirements for ED and other areas.
