Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a per diem Behavioral Health Crisis Clinician to provide emergency crisis intervention in the hospital setting. The role requires a Master’s degree in social work or counseling and NJ LSW/LAC, with LPC/LCSW preferred.

You will participate in interdisciplinary teams and support families through crisis disposition and aftercare planning. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, de-escalation, and coordinating transfers to appropriate care settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling or related field.
• State of NJ LSW/LAC license required.
• NJ LPC/LCSW preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and follow-up crisis assessments and risk assessments in the emergency department.
• Develop provisional clinical dispositions and after-care planning.
• Complete documentation for involuntary, voluntary and pediatric psychiatric admissions.
