Job summary

Atlantic Health in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, is seeking qualified clinicians to provide emergency crisis intervention services in a per diem capacity. The role involves conducting initial and follow‑up clinical and risk assessments for patients with behavioral health needs, co‑occurring disorders, and related stressors.

You will document clinical summaries, develop after‑care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe dispositions and timely follow‑up.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, Counseling or related field.
• State of NJ LSW/LAC Required.
• Per Diem position requiring 3 shifts/month, one of which must be on the weekends. Shifts are 8 hours in length, minimally, unless otherwise identified.
• Preferred: State of NJ LPC/LCSW.
• Preferred: 1 year crisis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Emergency Crisis Intervention Services.
• Conduct initial and follow-up clinical and risk assessments.
• Formulate provisional dispositions and clinical summaries.
• Complete de-escalation interventions with patients.
• Coordinate transfers to involuntary, voluntary and CCIS units.
• Documentation and compliance with department and regulatory requirements.
