Job summary

In Field Strategies is seeking qualified candidates to serve as Customer Associates at CRCs in Southern California. CAs will be added to an Eligible to Work List with paid training opportunities, and work mainly during peak fire season (June–January).

Responsibilities include greeting visitors, managing inquiries, setting up signage, maintaining safety and procedures, tracking inventory, and providing resource information.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years in community outreach or customer service with direct contact.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment.
• Own smartphone and access to transportation.
• Flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and travel to sites.
• Report to work on short notice (24–48 hours).

Responsibilities

• Support lead staff at the site.
• Ensure CRC site operations run smoothly.
• Greet visitors, manage inquiries and hand out supplies.
• Assist CRC setup, signage and supplies.
• Enforce safety guidelines and procedures.
• Follow safety and operational procedures, including media inquiries.
• Coordinate shift changes between CAs.
• Track inventory accurately.
• Resolve onsite issues with customers.
• Provide information on available resources.
• Support ADA and AFN accessibility at the site.
