Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time, 20-hour-per-week communications operator for the Enterprise Revenue Cycle team in Summit, WI. This role handles multi-function stations, paging and emergency lines, coordinating between in-house and on-call staff, patients and caregivers.

The position requires excellent verbal communication, weekend/holiday flexibility and the ability to work under pressure. High school diploma required; no prior experience necessary.

• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays and, occasionally, a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Responds to and operates multi-function work stations, paging systems for calls and to direct to appropriate locations.
• Provides an expeditious communication link between in-house and on-call personnel, patients, and caregivers.
• Provides and arranges for repair of pocket pagers, patient room telephones, and special needs phones.
• Maintains knowledge of department policies, schedules and information through bulletin boards and meetings.
