Job summary

New Vista is seeking a Communications Technician to operate a centralized telephone switchboard, route high volumes of calls, and manage paging and public address systems. You will coordinate emergency codes with on-site departments and off-site responders, and assist with guest sign-in/sign-out procedures.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with multi-line telephone systems.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operates a centralized telephone switchboard, placing, receiving and routing a high volume of calls.
• Operates two-way communication, paging and public address systems as needed.
• Announces emergency codes and coordinates response with on-site departments and external responders.
• Greets visitors and manages sign-in/sign-out paperwork for guests and staff.
