Job summary

The City of Minneapolis is seeking a highly skilled individual to plan, organize and supervise the 911 Center staff and to direct the operations of the Minneapolis Emergency Communications Center for 911 call answering and police and fire dispatching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
• Experience supervising staff and managing projects in a public safety environment.
• Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of shift supervisors with responsibility for up to 70 staff.
• Set performance expectations and apply performance management practices.
• Oversee budgeting, staffing, and coordination with agencies served.
